Window Wanderland is coming to Midsomer Norton for the first time! Midsomer Norton Community Trust, with funding from B&NES and Historic England, is transforming the Town Centre into a magical outdoor gallery celebrating our town and its history.

Would you like to take part?

We can’t do it without you! Taking part is FREE, easy, and everyone is welcome. You can make a display in the windows of your flat, house, business, school, nursery, car, campervan or shop.

The theme of this year’s Window Wanderland is “Midsomer Memories”. We invite you to create a display which showcases our town’s people, places and stories – the good, the bad and the ugly! The Midsomer Norton Knight, the Beauchamps, the River Somer, the old cinema, carnival, the railway, the Batch…. or something else altogether. The choice is yours.

Please don’t feel intimidated. Your display could be as simple as a candle, book or fairy-lights – or you could go all-out and stage a performance in your front garden!

What to do next

Visit our page on the Window Wanderland website to sign up and add your window location to our map.

You’ll get a helpful ‘Welcome Pack’ when you sign in and access to lots of inspiration photos, videos and blogs for windows too.

Tell your friends, neighbours and colleagues, and ask them to get involved!

Visiting the Window Wanderland

If you’d like to enjoy the window trail, a map will be available to download from the Window Wanderland website the week prior to the event. Wrap up warm, get a group of family and friends together, and enjoy our town’s magical streets!

If you have any questions or would like to sponsor, promote or volunteer to help with this event, please contact Beth on culture@midsomernortoncommunitytrust.co.uk.

This event has been made possible by a grant from Historic England as part of their High Streets Heritage Action Zones (HS HAZ) initiative, which will bring new cultural events and activities to Midsomer Norton up until March 2024.
